Farms and Estates Agricultural Professionals’ Breakfast

One of the most popular and well attended events in the calendar for those providing professional services to the agricultural sector is the annual breakfast hosted by Hazlewoods. Held on 1st February, the packed event heard from 6 different speakers from Hazlewoods covering specialist topics relating to the agricultural sector such as: EIS Investment opportunities, capital allowances, VAT, definitions of trading activitity and their implications for taxation. Lucie Hammond even posed the question “What is a horse?” “Competition, riding school, trekking, breeding or agricultural animal?”… all have differing implications with regards to planning and taxation.

As a specialist provider of legal services to farms and estates, Frank Smith was invited to attend the event and was also pictured with Nick Dee, Partner and head of the Agricultural team at Hazlewoods.
